“I laid the shingles with the tacks suppllied but purchased the felt glue to provide some extra fixing along the 4 ridges of a Jos cabin roof at at the apex for the "cone". Seems to have worked well so far. At the corners you will have 3 layers of felt and I was concerned that the wind might lift the felt here. The felt glue was not entirely easy to use (it does not have instant grab, and is maybe too runny - it just kept coming using a sealant gun)) and my efforts to glue all 3 layers at the corners did nor work well. Eventually I used Gorilla glue on the corners with the felt held to together with clothes pegs whilst it set. This glue expands so you will need to trim it up and apply black paint but has given a very solid result at the corners.”
“Very sticky and a must for laying shingle roofs in the winter as the tar strip on the shingles won't melt unless the sun beats down on it. One tube will do approx 9 m2 if used sparingly ( you only need a small blob on each corner)”
“Used this to stick down the shingles on the Soren Log Cabin as we live in a very exposed location. Easy to use and seemed to stick very well but only time will tell how well it copes with Northumberland winters !”
“i havent used the glue yet, but it arrived as ordered and well protected inside the kit, if the reviews ive read are as good as they say, ill be happy.”
