“The whole project has been a great success. The delivery driver could not have been more helpful and manoevred the pallet to exactly where I wanted it which was not easy. I had originally built a timber sub-frame along the lines of the excellent blog on the website. Two of us erected the cabin including roof timbers over one weekend. Some of the longer timbers had twisted slightly y(not surprising) and we had to ease them in with the aid of some clamps but 99% of the timbers fitted with little trouble. We noted how vital it was that the timber base was exactly (and I mean exactly!) the right size and level. Because of that it went up with relative ease. I insulated the roof during the week and two of us got the shingles on the following weekend. So 4 man-days to watertight. I sought a few bits of advice from the tuin helpchat and got sound and valuable advice within minutes on every occasion. We bought the wooden floorboards and that went down extremely well. It's still a work in progress but it's still fun! Dealing with Tuin has been an absolute pleasure and their product has surpassed my expectations. If only all companies were like Tuin!”
“After researching log cabins for some weeks, we decided on the Tuin Newcastle as this product was far superior to their competitors. We were notified of delivery date, on due date we were phoned by the driver who confirmed an approximate time for the delivery. The driver was extremely helpful and courteous and placed log cabin in the front garden. We arranged for Phillip to install the log cabin but unfortunately due to circumstances beyond his control with staff, he was only able to send one fitter on day of installation so log cabin was built in two days rather than one. Slav, the fitter worked extremely hard and did a fabulous job. The Tuin team were very helpful and replied to queries very quickly throughout the whole process. Log cabin looks fantastic and we are extremely happy with the finished result. Thank you Tuin and Phillips team (Slav). Electrics and painting next jobs on list!!”
“Bought the Newcastle last summer. So pleased with it and the new family argument is "who can use the bar"..... it seems it gets booked out quite quickly. From the outset Tuin were great. Delivery turned up and the driver spotted that some items were missing and sorted these out straight away (nice that it wasn't noticed when halfway through the build) It has been erected for 9/12 months now and looks like it will stand forevermore. Amazing quality and value. My wife and I built ours and it took about 4/5 days solid work to complete (I'm not quick at these things) and we did run into a few snags (I had fitted the window upside-down and the doorframe back to front) but was able to rectify these errors. The paper instructions are not great, but the online help is top-notch I had one twisted beam which I spent well over an hour trying to get to sit into place. Then found instructions on the Tuin website how to deal with warped/twisted beams and it slotted in within seconds. If you are building yourself, my top tips are: 1. Watch the tutorials (the roof tiles one was very useful) 2. Get the base right 3. Follow the instructions 4. Keep referring to the online pictures not those on the instructions (that way you'll get the window and doors on correctly) 5. Treat the cabin properly - it will last for years 5. Remember it will cost as much again to kit out the interior Thanks Tuin we will be enjoying our Cabin for years to come.”

“The Newcastle cabin was spot on for my purposes in that it gave me the workshop space I wanted and allowed a very good storage area. I have yet to finish fitting it out but so far its answered all my needs. Electrics are next then exterior paint to protect the structure. I would like to thank Tuin for recommending Blueprint Carpentry & Construction as one of your approved constructors. No fuss, nothing too much trouble, what a really good team these fellows are. Despite a couple of shortish days due to weather problems curtailing work they returned on the Monday ( unable to gain access to my property over the weekend due to a local carnival) to complete the job as promised. I cant praise them enough, & well worth the fee. They even cleared up as they went through the job. I have some photos I would like to send so will do this separately as it appears I cant do this here.”
