“Bought the Jackalyn cabin during first COVID lockdown as consolation after having 3 holidays cancelled! Choice was quite limited as many people had bought cabins to use as home offices, but saw this one and decided it was about right size and in stock. Delivery was good, got a call in advance and the cabin arrived an hour later. Delivery driver was pleasant, and dropped it on our drive with the aid of a forklift type vehicle. I carried it bit by bit round to the back garden next day, which took all morning, but I was working alone and do be aware that it totals 1.35 tons weight. Do get a second pair of hands if possible as it is both tiring and time consuming. I had a concrete base put down the previous week, so decided to start building in the afternoon. Construction was very easy to be honest. I am an engineer so maybe thats easy for me to say, but honestly it went together very well, and once I had built 4 layers high and squared it up on the composite supports, I was able to build up to the start of the apex by late afternoon. Fortunately, my son-in-law called in, so we were able to complete the build and slot in roof joists As well as window and door frames by the end of the day. The tongue and groove roof planks were time consuming, as was fitting the shingles, but Tuindeco do provide a video to help you understand how to fix the shingles, which is useful. I cant comment on flooring as I purchased my own, but over all I am very happy with the quality of the product, and would certainly recommend Tuin if you are looking to buy a log cabin. Hope this review is of some help, and good luck if you decide to purchase, you wont regret it.”
“We received our Jackalyn Log Cabin in February 2021. The whole process from ordering to delivery was faultless and communication from Tuin was excellent. We chose to lay a concrete base for the Cabin paying particular attention to levels and damp proofing to ensure installation was simple and the longevity of the cabin was maximised. The quality of the product is second to none and no issues were encountered throughout the construction process, in fact it was great fun to build for me and my other half. Our Jackalyn is now a fully functioning traditional English garden pub and many happy memories have already been made in there with friends and family. We would not hesitate to order from Tuin again! Highly recommended!”
“The delivery of the log cabin came on time and was offloaded exactly the place we wanted it.The driver was polite and helpful. The cabin was erected in one day with the roof shingles the next day. The quality of the timber was better than I expected and it was easy to slot together. It is so important to get the base level an square which was completed before the cabin arrived, this made the build go without any problems. The cabin is spacious and looks great. Tuin made the buying process easy and product is of a very good quality. We would buy from them again”
“For those worrying about delivery, don't. I live on a main road so was concerned the lorry would block traffic for a while. It didn't happen. It took all of 3 mins from the driver stopping to unloading the cabin with his forklift. I had my son and a friend coming round the following afternoon to help with the assembly. I started moving the cabin, by hand, from the front to the back garden and organized the bits in order of assembly as I did. At 9 am I thought I might as well make a start. 4 hours later I was putting the last roof beam on!. My help arrived just after and we spent the rest of the afternoon putting the roof on. Did the shingles the next morning. I'm not a DIY expert by any means but it was a really simple build and anyone with an ounce of common sense should be able to do it. I now have my 'man cave' at the bottom of the garden...”
“We had it delivered during first lockdown and from the start ,helped with choosing right one for us ,talking to their wonderful staff,the driver that was so helpful and the support we couldnt of wished for more. For size issues we had to initially cancel an order placed and they did nothing but help us all the way and making sure we got the one best for our needs and specifications.They went well beyond what we was expecting and even advised us on best products for the stain and protection. The driver was fab ,and didnt hesitate once when having to get the forklift to transport it down our small and narrow street ,his attitude and patience was impressive! He needs a super thanks ! The build itself arrived spot in ,no issues with it and in less than a full day it was fully erected with three of us helping . The quality is second to none and I could and will highly recommend this cabin to anyone and again excellent Company to deal with from start to finish ! “Ordered the Jackalyn in January and after a few changes of delivery it arrived on 6th April right in the middle of the lockdown. Communication from Tuin was good and also from the delivery company. Driver arrived 45 minutes after calling me and was very couteous, happy and easy to deal with. Interestingly the company he works for is based in Leek near Groningen in Northern Holland. My Head Office is on the same Industrial Estate. Anyway the cabin was put on my drive and all social distancing observed. I left it a few days and then carried all 1.35T of it through the garge, utility and into the garde. Followed the info and put all same sized parts together. The load bearers were a pain to get right with the cutting but had it up to eaves height in 5 hours on my own. My wife had to help steady the gables due the the weight but had all of the roof on in 4 hours. The worst bit is the shingles, it took 7 hours. Only issue was the doors wouldn't latch but a spacer behind the plate and all good. Very sturdy, easy to put up if you ignore the manual and just go by the drawings. Would highly recommecnd Tuin and it's products. Now to preseve the wood!!!”
