I'm sorry to give this 3 stars. I have 3 of these Foundation Tank Dresses (1 black, 1 black cherry, 1 deep sea) as well as 3 Foundation Short Sleeve Square Neck Tees ( black 1 black cherry) https//www.universalstandard.com/products/foundation-short-sleeve-square-neck-tee-black. I bought them bc of the great reviews, and once I tried them on, they were flattering enough I immediately bought more! So comfortable and flattering -- I really expected these to become my foundation pieces. The issue is, the first time I wore one of the black square neck tees, a section of it ended up with a dozen little pulled threads over my left hip, and there were a bunch of pills under each arm. I'd only worn it a few hours. I'm careful with my clothes, which last me years -- I donate them when I no longer wear them, and not because they've worn out. But I thought -- maybe I brushed up against something and wasn't paying attention, maybe I moved a lot more than I thought, maybe this tee is just a little more fragile? A few weeks later, I wore the sea green foundation dress, and the same thing happened -- not with the underarms because it's a tank dress, but with the area over my left hip. So I realized those pulls were caused by the different small leather crossbodies I'd worn, both with smooth backs with no hardware. Just the light rubbing of smooth pebble-grain leather over my hip caused a bunch of small pulls each time. Basically, this fabric feels FANTASTIC, but it pills and pulls if you look at it too hard. At this point I have 6 pieces in this fabric. Every time after I wear one, I have to check it over for pulled threads and use a snag puller to fix them, because if I leave them, the pulls will get worse. Yeah it gets old. I imagine I'll retire these soon. Which is a pity, bc they're super comfortable and flattering. And they'd be a great price if the fabric weren't so temperamental. Almost perfect ...
