So disappointed. Bought these about 6 months ago and only started wearing them in heavy rotation over the last month. Today I realized the thighs have already rubbed down to nothing and theres a hole on both sides. Ive had cheaper jeans last through years of daily wear before the fabric in the thighs turned to tissue paper. I thought US was better quality than that at $98, but Ill have to look for a new brand.

I have 6 different pairs of Universal Standard jeans and the pairs are black Seine which both are roughly 1- sizes smaller fitting than their blue and gray denim counterparts! Still great, long lasting quality but you definitely want to size up from your normal universal standard size if buying black.

OK, so I've been on the hunt for an alternative to Madewell's Curvy Skinny jeans. I'd read great things about Universal Standard so I decided to give them a shot. 1. These leaned way more jegging than denim. Fine if that's what you want, but I like more structure in my jeans. Once I got over that cognitive hurdle, they were fine and flattering, if they did lose their shape and get baggy on, like, Day of wearing them. . Because of the shape loss, that meant I was washing them more frequently than I usually do. As such, both this pair and the blue high-rise Seine that I have got some super-weird snag/pull in the crotch area - like a breakdown or wear near the crotch area essentially messed with the elastic there? Anyway, after one wash with that pull, it became so pronounced that it made the jeans essentially unwearable. Less than a year's wear out of a $100/pair denim. I could've gotten around the elasticity issue, but I'd rather spend $00 for a pair of jeans that will last me a few years than $100 for a pair that will wear out in less than a year. YMMV, so two stars.

I loved these jeans when I first got them (although I had to size up one or two sizes in the black, which was odd). I wore them to teach in, typically an hour or two a week. In less than a year, the crotch was completely stretched out and the thighs thinning and about to burst. If I had bought these for $30 at Target, I would have expected such poor quality. But these jeans are pricey and I bought them expecting them to last. I realize that the high amount of stretch helps these jeans fit many bodies and thus sell, but when you have a thin, very stretchy fabric, they simply will not hold up. These are no exception.
