Im 53, 0, and short-waisted. I ordered the white. Linen gives a lot, so I ordered a Medium, as Large is my usual US pant size for other than jeans. The good gorgeous lightweight fabric, light lining on the butt, nice thick waistband doesnt scrunch or roll. They break at the top of my foot. They do lend themselves to a being rolled up, great for the beach, or if youre not wearing sandals. The waist doesnt gap at all. A medium on my fits like a true straight leg pant - straight from the hip to ankle. Issues if you put your hands into the pockets they will gap out from that point forward - an issue with most linen pants, tbh. The inseam is cut for the industry Fit model standard 5, so you have to either fold the waist over once or hike them up in the front to get the paint to fall nicely across the stomach and legs. If I wear it at my natural waist, theres a puddle of fabric around my stomach, and it doesnt look polished. The alternative is taking your usual size so the pant fits slouchy, then it wont likely matter. I prefer a straight fit to a slouchy look, so take that into account in choosing a size. NOTE the fabric feels itchy This is very good quality linen, but that means you will need to break it in. Google to get more info, but you can wash with baking soda to soften them up faster. Washing them repeatedly will do the same, but -3 times isnt enough. Youll need probably 8-10 washes. So what I do is throw them into the wash every load with lights, and gradually they ease.
