“As an apple shaped woman, these were one of the few US pairs that fit me well in the waist/hips. Almost every other pair were much larger in the hips (for those hourglass ladies), whereas these fall pretty straight through the hips. I tried other elastic waist versions - Elastic Waist Weekend and ComfortDenim Drawstring - which were huge in the hips by the time the waist fit. So, these were the only keepers. Love the waist fit, and the long front pocket look. But, given that wide leg pants are much more current, I was feeling really dated with the jogger leg. I experimented and cut the elastic bottom out in one pair (leaving the cuff) - then eventually trimmed them a bit more to get the crop length right. Now, they are pretty similar to the Elastic Weekend as they look on the model (except fit my larger waist to hip ratio). I would LOVE more styles with this waist/hip ratio. Also, would be helpful if styles indicated if they were more waist (apple) or hip (hourglass) friendly. Since sizing and fit are different for those two general body types, I had to order pairs of different styles and sizes to find that fit.”
