“Excellent safety addition. My pump suffered a stuck pressure switch, which caused deadheading and subsequent thermal runaway, eventually bursting a PVC pipe in the pump shed. Installing this pressure relief valve completely solved the problem. In real-world testing, when I simulated the pressure rising above the correct setting, I found that venting even just a small volume of water back into the dam completely prevented any heat buildup in the system. Highly recommend as a cost effective insurance policy to safeguard your plumbing.”
