“My primary reason for purchasing the Power Saver plug was my concern regarding how hot the original solenoid and surrounding metal work got. It's a normally closed valve so under typical use it's powered on all the time and is installed to shut off my main water supply in the event of a leak detection. The Power Saver plug once installed has significantly reduced the temperature of the solenoid and I'm sure will also help extend the life of the solenoid coil.”
