The Vedder Holsters Pocket Locker® is great for concealed carry of small sized pocket pistols in the front pocket of your pants- great for those that do not wish to carry around the waistline. Fully adjustable retention allows you to set your preference of tight, loose, or somewhere-in-between retention. The Pocket Locker® features three possible ways to draw. First, when drawing your firearm from your pocket, the hook catches on the corner of your pants pocket and the firearm is drawn, free from the holster. Second, it is great for those that want a secure and custom holster for their carry bag or purse as the holster comes standard with eyelet hardware which can be used to attach paracord to the interior of your bag for snatch style un-holstering. Third, an optional thumb tab that allows you to un-holster your gun with a simple thumb press. Each holster is custom molded from Kydex® to your unique gun model ensuring a perfect fit. It also comes with a full sweat guard. Sweat guards cover both sides of the entire slide of your pistol reducing its contact with moisture from your body.

Current listed holsters are ideal for front pocket carry in most standard mens jeans. To test if the holster will work for you in pocket carry, we recommend trying to put your unloaded and safety checked gun in your pocket to get an idea if pocket carry is for you. If your gun fits comfortably in your pocket, then you will have a good idea if the holster will fit in your pocket as well.

I really wanted to like this holster. The specs were good; it looked like it would be great for a compact pocket pistol. I liked the idea of the thumb tab and a curve to the holster...............but it just didn't work for me. It made more weight in my pocket (I guess for some reason I thought it would be a lighter material). The major downside is that it "prints" when you sit. There’s no doubt (even at a glance) that you have a firearm in your pocket. Now if your leg is under a table, then that’s one thing. But if you’re sitting in an open-air venue, it’ll print. I still think that Vedder has great product (s). I returned it, no questions asked and I’m going to try their LightTuck® Kydex IWB holster.

The Perfect holster when pocket carry is needed. The quality is top notch and this one is the newest model which has tension adjustment . I didn’t make any adjustments as it seems to be spot on when it arrived.

Holster imprinted heavily and was too big for most of my side pockets in my clothing. Although it seemed to be constructed well, it did not fit my needs for pocket carry. Perhaps I will look at an OWB holster of the same size (SIg Sauer P365 SAS) in the near future.

The dimensions of the pocket play a large role in the viability of the holster. Too large, the holster requires two hands to operate. (It doesn’t lock into pocket) To small, it is hard to get it in and hard to get hand in also. The Goldilocks dimension determines its usefulness. Thank God I am old and still wearing loose fit jeans.))

Before ordering, l contacted Vedder’s Customer Service department to see if they could customize a Pocket Locker to fit my hot rodded Sig Sauer P365 SAS with an added green dot sight and a Wilson Combat frame. Of course they said they would be able to do this, and the results are amazing. It fits perfectly in my pocket and releases effortlessly. I could not be more pleased. They also re-contoured an existing IWB holster l had purchased for the gun as well before modifications with the same exacting results. This is why Vedder is the best out there!

So, as a gun owner, I tend to purchase different holsters for different situations. The weather plays a big part, as it gets hot out, the less clothes you wear, so I thought that this pocket holster would be okay. I use a sig P365 SAS and I think it's a pretty small firearm, but it definitely feels bulky in my pocket. The real downside to this holster it, to have a curve on it (to contour the leg) is an option, and so is the thumb release. Why would these things be an option? Why would safety and comfort be an option? In my opinion, it's just another way for a company to nickel and dime you. Stop with those two "options " and just include them at a fixed price.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review! The Curve and Thumb Tab are an additional option as many times we have found customers carry preference may accommodate without one of these options. We have seen other uses of our Pocket Locker such as use in a bag or purse and these additional features will not be as accommodating as they may be for carrying in the pocket. However, this is a good idea and I am happy to pass the feedback along to our team.

Just started using this holster and getting use to how it differs from the previous holster I was using. Very positive click-into-place feel. I ordered with the optional thumb release and curve. I feel that the thumb release is a necessary component as the retention is good and the release allows breaking the holster's hold. Only 4 stars as I'm developing my skills with the holster
