“Had been after one of these for a while so was stoked when I finally purchased the med one with wheels. I felt the instructions were a bit vague and had to go online to view the set up which was a bit annoying. Once soil was in and veges planted it did not take long for them to grow was amazed. I would definitely recommend vege pods.”
“Good assembly instructions . Would definitely recommend wheels as with the soil added it is heavy to move and the wheels make it easy.
I looked up ‘square foot gardening ‘ and planted accordingly. It is amazing what can be grown in the medium Vegepod and all seedlings are thriving. I am already picking lettuce leaves after 3 weeks. I am in my late 70’s in a retirement village and while I could purchase a wooden raised vegetable garden , still requiring bending and protection and some distance from my villa, the Vegepod is the perfect size and height to fit on my patio. A great invention so carefully thought out and certainly giving me those fresh vegetables that taste so good.”
“Brought This Starter pack 3 months ago now, so time for a review. Easy to assemble just need to take time on the frame and bars (watch the online video). Have loaded ours with Lettuce, spinach, chives, celery, snack cucumbers and small capsicum. The growing rate in the pod compared to the rest of our normal garden is amazing. items in it are growing at a much faster rate. The bonus is that there are no slugs etc in the lettuce and other plants due to the cover providing protection. Purchased a PVC cover to use when it gets colder to extend the growing season, but have not used this yet.
At first, I was deciding if I should or not due to the price, as it is more than what I would normally pay for something like this. But after using it and seeing the results I am glad I went ahead.
The only thing I would like to come with it that I just added is some protective tape for the cover where you clip it in and out to lock it down. This is to prevent wearing through the protective cover.”
“Put 90% together fairly easily thanks to the great instructions. My arthritic thumbs meant I couldn't hold the irrigation hose squeezed tight enough and pull the cable ties closed so I had to wait for a visitor to help me. I am also finding the cover difficult to open and shut. The clips are working great but my hands don't nowdays. Any suggestions as to an alternative way to keep the cover closed would be welcome. Perhaps this is something you could look at as raised gardening is fantastic for the older and less able so I am sure I am not the only one struggling.”
