“The build is absolutely exceptional. It has the hitch locking system, hitch pin lock, and the right side designed for truck tail gate opening. What went beyond is that I had it scratching the ground a few times, due to steep drive way or some slope, if I don't tell you that, just by looking at the hitch itself, you won't be able to tell at all those scratch happened.”
“This is a great concept and the idea is that it will allow truck owners to lower their truck tail-gate completely while a rack is attached. Unfortunately, due to a design flaw, the hitch extender is about 1/2 inch too short to work with modern Ford F-150 pickups. Hopefully, in the future Velocirax will modify their product to work with a bigger variety of vehicles.”
“The bottom receiver section is just a tad bit long for my 2014 Toyota Landcruiser if I wanted to use the locking pin. After some sledgehammering I could make it fit with zero tolerance and standard (fatter) pins would not work. Only the skinnier provided by VelociRax. However, the provided locking pin locks on the side which is very inconvenient for the Landcruiser receiver. Much better if the locking pin would lock inline instead.
After all is said and done and it's fitted on my lifter Landcruiser it is much easier to access the bikes as well as the lower gate opens completely and I can use it to sit on again without lowering the bikes.”
