“I use it at home with the rolling base to store my bikes. Works great. Very solidly constructed, it feels very durable. You're going to want help moving it once it's assembled as it's really heavy, but not too heavy to lift on your own. It's easy to load and unload bikes but sometimes I have to take off another bike to load in another if I'm loading in a bike between two others. I kind of wish I got the 5X but at least I have space for a 6th bike.”

“I received my VelociRAX 6 bike rack I good working order and as described. Packing was top notch and assembly was easy. I am satisfied with my purchase, but the only complaint I have is there is too much slop at the hitch insert. When we have the bikes loaded and you make a turn the bikes can violently shift up to 12 inches either side. It seems the insert tubing on the rack could have been 1/8" thicker in diameter to avoid so much slack. I am going to insert some plastic shims to try to address this problem. Overall, it's a well built rack that seems like it will last a long time.”

“Overall very solid rack. Anti rattle mechanism works great. The lowering shocks work great too - my wife is asking why Velocirax couldn’t implement the opposite direction shocks as well to help with rising the rack loaded with bikes. It’s heavy, but that’s what to be expected of a rack that can carry 6 bikes. Few things that I could point out for improvement. The bikes to wobble, a lot, unless you use the brake straps. Than it settles them down. If you use baskets that are next to each other you must use the brake straps or your bikes will bump and chip paint. The provided straps didn’t last long. Sun and constant stretch as they are installed made them brake quickly. I used old inner tubes of different sizes and cut them into 1” strips to get more straps. Also, the rubber straps that hold the wheels also started to deteriorate and every time we use them out hands are just black from the rubber. I already washed them once and applied UV rubber protectant. We will see if that will extend their life span. I do have to say that we live in TX and sun exposure is pretty harsh over here. This will most likely not become an issue for more northerly states and climates. I would like to see a solution for a tandem as we recently acquired one and are not able to transport it on the Velocirax, even though we have a tall NV3500 can. Velocirax, Any plans for extended basket perhaps?”

“Great rack - works as advertised. One issue I encountered, the saftey pin/quick release that holds the plate for the hydrolic rams, the ballbearing at the end of the pin does not hold the pin in place. This caused the bikes to drop really fast becuase the pin had come out and I did not notice it. Something I keep an eye on.”

“We bought the 6 bike rack because there is 6 of us. All the bikes are different sizes. It seems like this rack does a good job fitting multiple sizes. We've taken it on several family outings/vacations. Once it gets installed it's easy to use. It will take multiple people to carry and assemble because it's not light. they put a lot of thought into this bike rack. We are looking forward to getting some good use out of this for years to come”

“I've had multiple racks from the other brands and this one is definitely the best. Easy to load, bikes stay still, it has a wedge in the hitch to lock it in place, and carries 6 bikes. I highly recommend this rack.”
