“I drink SO MUCH sparkling water that I have probably single-handedly created an island of trash in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. For years I have dreamt about having a kitchen tap that dispenses sparkling water, but the vast majority of companies only do this for commercial use, and residential options are pricy and require modifications we couldn’t do in our rental.
Fast forward to almost buying one of these pricy solutions, when I discovered the system wouldn’t fit in an under sink cabinet, so I was going to have to put in on the counter. At that point I revisited KUL and made the decision that if I was going to have a bulky thing in my counter, it might as well be less expensive and look prettier.
This thing is fantastic. It can be a little noisy when it’s chilling water, but when it’s done it’s work it quiets right down. I’ve had it for a week and almost gone through an entire bottle of C02 if that helps to clarify how much sparkling water I drink. Soda streams could never keep up with me.
I had originally ordered the sidekick because I didn’t think we could plump it to our sink as we didn’t want to drill through the counter in our rental, but I was able to tape the input house under the edge of the counter and through a small gap in the cabinet door. It’s not beautiful, but I’m saving turtles.
The customer service is amazing, the product is amazing. The only thing that would make it better would be having the ability to control the level of carbonation. I prefer my water a little bit more carbonated, but after a week I have gotten used to what the KUL makes for me.
