“Looking for a waterproof hoodie that does not feel like a hard shell nor feels like a soft shell that has a "sticky" polyester feel to it? Look no further.
The fit and feel is really like that of a zipped hoodie. The inner "fleece" lining is soft and should withstand Vancouver weather upto maybe 5ºC? Not sure, it's not that cold yet but the jacket feels fuzzy and smooth to the touch.
It's warm and it's waterproof. Don't need an inner layer for that chilly rainy fall/winter Vancouver weather… just this jacket.
Pockets? 2, side one. Could have been a bonus to have an inner pocket sewn into the lining or a chest pocket. These days, pockets are an essential for all the devices an knickknacks we need to carry around.
Weight, slightly heavier than a waterproof hard shell.
Fit, "true to size". it fits like a glove. I wear a size large and this jacket's fit might allow a thin inner layer if need be. Won't fit a thicker inner layer.
Let's say, it is a Regular "Slim" fit if there were Loose, Slim and Skinny. This would be the middle.
If you need more room for layering or that extra bulge, size up!
Arm length is between European/Scandinavian arms and Asian Arms. Perfect, not too long, not too short.
People with longer arms might need to size up as well. Took a friend to the Vessi store in Metrotown to try it out. He's a "S" but the arm length was too short so tried a "M" and it fits perfect.
I'm an "L" and "L" just fits like a glove.”
