“I had to go up one size from my usual and as a result the shoes feel a bit long. Also, my feet get very hot.

We’re sorry to hear your Vessis aren't as breathable as you'd expected. While normal shoes will always be more breathable than waterproof shoes, Vessis were designed to be a much more breathable alternative to other waterproof footwear like rubber boots.

We apologize for any discomfort you experienced with the sock top rubbing against your ankle. The material works similar to how socks fit, in the sense that it adapts to your foot shape. The more you wear them, the more it gives and stretches to mold to you. Therefore, it’s actually quite normal for your Vessis to be a little snug to start. Some customers use a shoehorn in the meantime, which should help. You can also speed up the stretching process by leaving a few pairs of thick socks balled up inside the shoes overnight.
That said, I'll be sure to pass your feedback along to our Product team, as we are always looking to improve. We're glad to hear that you find our shoes cute and fairly comfortable aside from the issue with the sock top.
