“Felt really tight at the top in the beginning, even got a small chafe on my tendon when I wore my socks to far down. But after wearing the socks correctly and using them they stretched out to fit me better. Very comfortable shoes overall and they look good too.”
“Shoes do not vent heat as advertised. Consequently my feet get very sweaty and this makes the shoes stink a lot quicker than other pairs of footwear I own. Rounding up in sizing (I’m 8.5) resulted in a shoe that initially felt too loose but became better fitting over time. My ankle still rubs/slides though. Laces are good and I rarely need to tie them. The shoes do seem to be waterproof but I haven’t stress tested them yet. Cushioning is typically adequate but at the end of a long day I do feel my feet begin to ache.”
Hi Joshua,
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback!
Our shoes are breathable thanks to a special material called Dyma-tex that we developed ourselves. It contains millions of pores large enough for the heat and moisture from your feet to escape, but small enough to prevent outside water from creeping in!
Vessis are way more breathable (and lightweight) than traditional waterproof footwear options - like rubber boots. That being said, waterproof shoes will always be a little less breathable than normal shoes. We thought it was nice to have another option rather than wearing heavy, clunky rain boots all the time.
Additionally, we designed Vessi as a casual/lifestyle shoe, which means there's not a lot of arch support included. That said, the insoles are removable so you're always able to swap those for something you find more comfortable.
Please reach out to our Customer Care Team at support@vessi.com if you have any questions.
“I like their tight but still comfy fit. Takes a few days to stretch out but after that it’s great.
Only thing that could be improved on is the wear resistance of the sole. Have to replace them basically every year after moderate use”
