“I really enjoy your shoes. Got to get used to the no tongue. Little tight, but looking forward to them stretching out. Really great looking and comfortable shoes”
“I got these specifically because I knew I was going to be running around for a week on concrete and potential rain. I am not disappointed. I did get a 2nd pair to swap out with (Cityscape), which was more for evenings. We are getting older, so we only managed about 8 miles a day (all concrete). My feet were a little tender by the end of the day, but that was just because I don't usually walk anywhere that long on such a hard surface. No blisters and no lingering issues with my feet that made me hobble around for later day activities. I did put effort in to fitting them to my feet - I had worn the shoes for at least a week prior and made sure that I had adjusted them for wearing socks and minimal movement. I leave them knotted to this, so I only have to "slip" them on/off.
I'll have to trust on the vegan materials, but 100% waterproof, breathable knit, and easy pull on/off tabs are the selling points. They are waterproof - no issues on the trip and it has been snowing at home several times, and have not noticed any moisture getting in. My feet didn't get cold when in the snow for dog walks, cleaning off cars, and shoveling. There was one day during our trip where we did get caught in heavy rain and a long hike back to the hotel - feet stayed dry and water beaded off. As for breathable, I would say that when I took them off, I thought my feet felt a little damp, but they were actually dry. The socks themselves had a little moisture in them. As for odor, after they dry out, I do not detect any smell. The insoles are able to come out if necessary. Overall, this is the first pair of sneakers that I have ever had that are comfortable and don't stink after a "no effort" daily use. As for the pull tabs, they are useless (to me). Since the sneakers seal around your ankle, and this is a new approach to sneakers, had issues. I found that the tabs were not long enough to get a good grip on them and the loops are a little to small to even hook them with a finger. This was even before I tightened them up to better fit my feet. I just put my foot in there with my heel pushing down the back of the sneaker and then just hook my finger inside (towards the back and work the sneaker back around my heel. Pull tabs is not a selling feature for me. Also, after a week of walking on concrete, I really don't see evidence that they are wearing.
Overall, I love these sneakers. I cannot complain about them - but I'll reserve that option after I have had them for long-term. I plan to alternate daily with my cityscape, but so far, I've been very happy with those too.”
“I love the new design of Vessi shoes. Getting more stylish than the first ones and i find them more comfortable too. Although i find them a bit wide as you wear them longer but still a lot of improvement.”
