“Strap in for this review because I am SERIOUS about my shoes. I'm a Veterinary Technician regularly on my feet for 9-12 hours a day. I have now worn my every day moves for 2 weeks straight.
My favorite things:
Waterproof and easy to clean. I have yet to have feces or blood stain my shoes. Also, wet feet are gross and because I'm clumsy I regularly spill mop buckets on myself and my feet are dry in these things!
Least favorite things:
The break in period was a little longer for me than most shoes. The fabric comes right up on my ankle bone and until that softened it actually hurt my skin. (I wear ankle socks). There isn't a whole lot of arch support but I'm picky about my insoles and swapped them out anyway. They also aren't very nonslip, I have to be mindful when walking around on freshly mopped floors.
In comparison to other brands:
Dansko - Still my favorite work shoe. Vessis are lighter weight, and more stylistically pleasing. Vessis also breathe better and I don't have smelly feet after a shift. Dansko is the better nonslip and has much better arch support.
Cloves - my feet breathe better in Vessis, the fabric doesn't crack or crease across the top like in my cloves. The vessi doesn't squeak when I walk I can pull the vessis on using the pull tab in the back but the cloves roll up and I have to sit and fix them first. Vessis are a bit more nonslip than my classic cloves. Obviously I can just wipe clean both cloves and dansko and I can't do that as easily in Vessis.
Overall, I prefer danskos over anything for my work days BUT I wanted a sneaker that I could wear with my jogger scrubs and something to rotate with my dankos. I'm pleased with Vessi and they're cute. My work place uses hunter green uniforms and the sage looks great with them!”
“I am a vet tech and purchased these shoes to repel the multiple fluids that we come in contact with each day. Also while working curbside appointments on the gross rainy days while walking in the wet grass and across puddles in the parking lot. My feet have stayed dry and I love that! The only thing I dislike is that the heel comes up higher on the back. I just had to buy some different socks with the heel tab and they worked well together. They are also not as slim/sleek as they appeared online but I think I'm just getting used to seeing them and wearing them. They have been comfortable wearing during my long work shifts and my feet do not hurt. I would recommend these to try for anyone interested in purchasing!”
“I absolutely love my Vessi shoes! I am a very outdoors person. I am on pavement, on trails, near creeks, in the woods. My Vessi shoes keep my feet dry through all my adventures. And they take comfort above and beyond the average everyday shoe! I bought my husband a pair as well. He has very high arches and weak ankles due to an injury, and Vessie cradles his feet and provides him lasting comfort throughout the day!”
“This is my second purchase of this shoe and they have held up great constantly exposed to both saltwater and fresh on a daily basis. I did have to buy separate inserts as these did not support my arches to avoid sore feet at the end of the day, but after adding additional support I never wanna take them off!”
