I haven't encountered them feeling a little tight with breaking them in.
My left foot is a size smaller than my right so I always know it's going to be a little big for that, but the 10 is perfect with my right foot. Has the exact amount of clearance for the big toe that you'd expect with a shoe true to size.
I've noticed the graphic in the sole of shoe wears out quickly though.
For Minnesota weather though, they're perfect. I don't feel the rush of the cold wind through the shoes and my feet can breathe and have stayed nice and dry.
Been quite comfortable for the long hours on my feet at work too.
