“Comfortable snug fit and absolutely water proof. Excellent for walking and working especially if you are on your feet the whole day. In the future would be great if you could add a good insole to help in long walks. The blue sole and heels a little bit as that is the first of the sole to go considering our walkways and sidewalks are badly constructed”
“Well, I wear size 12 everywhere ( in fact my first pair of Vessi shoes was a 12) but these are quite snug. I am wearing them, hoping that they become a little ‘looser’. They are not comfortable right now.”

We're sorry to hear you’re finding your Vessis a little tight. For some reference, however, it’s actually quite normal for the ankle opening to be a little snug to start.
Over the first few wears of your new shoes, you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate your foot shape. By starting tighter, this allows the shoe to mold to your ankle shape - making sure no water seeps in through the ankle opening.
We totally understand your worry about the tightness, but we can assure you that the opening will start to loosen up within the next few wears.
Some customers use a shoehorn in the meantime, which should help. You can also speed up the stretching process by leaving a few pairs of thick socks balled up inside the shoes overnight.

“Really love these shoes. However, I only wore them twice and the green glued on rubber on the bottom let go. Vessi was awesome and sent me a new pair right away and they have been great. No complaints. Also have the light grey pair and they are holding together nicely. So, maybe I just got a bad luck pair the first time. Love the shoes!”
