Hi Navroz,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on your Vessis with us!
I’m sorry to hear you’re finding your Vessis a little tight. For some reference, however, it’s actually quite normal for the ankle opening to be a little snug to start.
Over the first few wears of your new shoes, you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate your foot shape. By starting tighter, this allows the shoe to mold to your ankle shape - making sure no water seeps in through the ankle opening.
I totally understand your worry about the tightness, but I can assure you that the opening will start to loosen up within the next few wears.
Some customers use a shoehorn in the meantime, which should help. You can also speed up the stretching process by leaving a few pairs of thick socks balled up inside the shoes overnight.
We will be sure to pass this feedback along to the rest of the team.
“I am absolutely in LOVE with my Vessis!!! 100% worth the price. The first week of wearing them, there was a huge rainstorm and I accidentally stepped in a huge puddle to be completely astounded that the inside of my shoe was completely dry! They are extremely comfortable and are very good shoe for a work environment where you are on your feet for long as well as a multitude of outdoor activities! Never buying a different sneaker again!”
