“I’m owned about 5 or 6 pair of Vessi’s but this has been the worst purchase since my first purchase several years ago. So, while the rest of the shoe felt great, the upper lip of the shoe is too snug and cuts off the circulation in your feet.”
Hi Ashley,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us.
We’re sorry to hear you’re finding your Vessis too tight. For some reference, however, it’s actually quite normal for the ankle opening to be a little snug to start. Over the first few wears of your new shoes, you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate your foot shape. By starting tighter, this allows the shoe to mold to your ankle shape - making sure no water seeps in through the ankle opening.
Some customers use a shoehorn in the meantime, which should help. You can also speed up the stretching process by leaving a few pairs of thick socks balled up inside the shoes overnight.
That said, I'll be sure to pass your feedback along to our Product team, as we are always looking to improve. We'll use your insight towards our research and development for our future design improvements.
Thank you again for sharing your thoughts on your Vessis with us
“I got these shoes for my son and this is his thought: I use these shoes every time it rains, and they still keep clean no matter what. I really like the marine blue on white colour scheme, which I find is very sleek and clean. This is my third pair of Vessi’s, and they don’t disappoint. In terms of comfort, the sock-like fit makes it super easy and effortless to slip my foot in the shoes without having the need to tie and untie it, while still holding onto my foot without the shoe slipping off. The midsole is the perfect blend of bounce and stiffness, so that you don’t feel like you’re sinking into the shoe, but it also doesn’t feel too stiff. I really like how versatile this shoe is. It can be used as a regular walking shoe, or it can pretty much replace rain boots, perfect for almost any weather. The Everyday Classic is also surprisingly breathable, while still being 100% waterproof.”
“I usually wear a 7.5, ordered a 8 but they were a little big. Returned for a 7 which were a good fit. Shipping, return, replacement process was great, easy and no problems. Shoes fit good and are comfortable.”
