“Actually thought I was going to return them after first quick initial try-on. I had them on for a whole minute, took them right off & thought nope…these are going back. Good thing I’m a procrastinator because when I had more time, I put them on and wore them around the house. They were so comfortable I really don’t know how long I wore them because I forgot I had them on. Only comment I can make is don’t expect to wear socks, initially I only wore them with thin footies. I am expecting them to get looser with wear and should be able to wear any socks with them. I should say I wear an 81/2 and just got a size 8 because it was suggested that they do loosen up after wear. If they don’t I’m in trouble because I was expecting a shoe I could slip on and off easily and quickly at the airport, these do take some time and effort, but they are so comfortable I think it’s worth it.”
“When I saw the commercials on YouTube, I thought the waterproof aspect might be a scam, but at least they'd be comfortable sneakers on a sunny day. But the first time I had to wear them for a whole day of rain, my socks stayed dry. And yes, they are comfortable. I'm a size 7 1/2. The website said to size down, but I have wide feet, so the size 7 was way too small. Size 8 fits well.”
“I wear an AFO ( the type that goes on the side of the ankle and up around the calf). I was a bit hesitant with the AFO not fitting properly and being too snug on it. I contacted support I got the impression she had no idea what an AFO was. So, I sent a picture over, and she said it should work properly. I then placed my order.
When I received the item, I was stunned to see the AFO not slide around within the shoe. I noticed both shoes were snug, but I figured since it wasn’t just on the foot with the AFO I needed to allow time for stretching. I did get blisters from the back of the heel. It’s a little scratchy at first.
I’ve had the shoes for almost a month now. The shoe hasn’t overly stretched from the AFO. Nor do I feel the AFO sliding forward and back in the shoe. The back of the heels are now smooth as well. The shoes are comfy. Yesterday I did notice the AFO shoe starting to squeak. I assume it was from the device as I’ve had a few other shoes do the same.
I do own many pairs of Skechers slip on shoes. I am pleased with those , but I’ve noticed their shoes overly stretch from the AFO. That leads to the afo sliding forward and back most of the time. I noticed these haven’t done that so that’s a plus. The shoe fit my AFO properly.
Also, it was a pain to get my foot inside the shoe with the AFO at first. But all I do now is pull the back heel tab, and it goes on easier.
I’m pretty pleased with this shoe. I hope this review will help with others with a similar type of AFO.”
