“I purchased a pair of Vessi everyday shoes as I'm on my feet all day long in constant damp or wet areas.
My first impressions when I pulled them out of the box were that of clown shoes. The bulbus front portion of the shoe looked as though it was expecting my foot to grow like the hulk's inside.
After wearing them for a better part of a week I can say they are terribly uncomfortable. My feet kill me each and every day, I've had boots with quicker break in time. They are stupidly hot and do not breath at all. I feel like my feet are soaking in a sauna all day and not in a good way.
I gave these a try based on advertising I saw on Linus Tech Tips, frankly I feel like there is someone yelling "gotcha sucker!" as these are not worth the asking price. I will be going back to my XC4 Prentiss Johnston & Murphy.”

We are sorry to hear that your experience with your Vessis have not been a good one. While there are many that find Vessis comfortable, we understand that it might not be for everyone.
Our Everyday Vessis do have a chunkier midsole than our other designs to help provide better lateral support. Our Cityscapes and new Weekend Vessis both have a slimmer silhouette, which might be more to your liking.
But we understand that the style of shoe isn't the full issue here, it's the comfort. Being a lifestyle / casual to lightly active shoe, Vessis have relatively low arch support, but we made the insoles removable to allow the most customizable fit for those wanting to wear them for longer distances or for those that need extra support! So you can add your own custom orthotics or special insoles!
As for breathability, do you wear socks with your Vessis? They are meant to help wick away any moisture and should help control temperature. It is odd that your Vessis have been so hot like a sauna, however, this definitely shouldn't be happening.
