“Water-resistant feature is great but cushioning is non-existent. Sad also to say that I can't return it because I tried it for half an hour to give it a chance.”
“Hi Michelle, thanks for reaching out. So I’ve been working on a golf course for the last 9 years as the Assistant Superintendent. Needless to say I’m on my feet all day every day, early mornings in the dew, rain, etc., and have struggled to find a reliable pair of waterproof shoes on the market. I’ve only had them for a few days but so far my feet have been warm, comfortable, and bone dry. I almost feel like they’re too good to be true. I will definitely be recommending them to others that work in the industry.”
“Shoes are amazing, genuinely waterproof (to the shoe gap obviously but some people might need that made clear) and super comfy. Overall product itself in a vacuum 5/5. The personal experience is is 4/5 mostly because I ended up being cautious because I have wide feet and went up a size to a 12 and I should have went with an 11 and likely will when these puddle jumpers meet their end hopefully in the far off future. I will say putting on a fresh out of box pair of these can be difficult at first but after the membrane stretches to your feet and are broke in a little they glide on fairly simply. Only thing I truly miss with this being an everyday wear for me is not having a hard toe or some sort of reinforcement because I have come to realize I use the top of my feet for a lot of things (catching doors, readjusting bulkier objects when you are trying to move them or even using it as a wedged under something to assist lifting something up) through the day. Maybe that's just a me thing. Standing in one place for long periods can be mildly uncomfortable but as soon as I resume motion they super comfy so I think this gripe is more on me and my wide feet stretching over the insole. I honestly would love to see these offered in a genuine wide foot option but the shoes themselves stretch enough that even someone with an awkward foot width can still enjoy these amazing shoes with out playing the size guessing game.”
Hi Michael,
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us we are so happy you were able to find a great pair for you. With the suggestion for a wide option as well as the reinforcement for the toes we will definitely keep those in mind for the future. 😊
“Warm and dry in the winter what more could you want. I work construction and one day the water went into my boots I felt awful about using my new vessi's but I did and I was comfortable warm dry and at the end of the day I just washed the shoes off. They look as good as the day I bought them I would strongly recommend and if they are on sale just buy it. Treat yourself.”
“First Vessi shoes I try. The fit is snug and just right. For casual wear I have had no issue.
However for walks over long distances (I do my shopping and groceries on foot) I find myself feeling a little sore. I am unsure if it's due to the shape of the sole which is very flat compared to the shoes I usually wear that are more arched.
Otherwise it's solid quality.”
Hi JR,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're glad that you're enjoying your shoes for the most part.
As a casual/city shoe, Vessis do provide relatively low arch support which is why we designed the insoles to be removable so you have the option of using your own inserts for a more customized comfort/fit.
“I bought the mens runners for my son,who is 14, and always ended up with wet feet by the end of the day. Since buying these for him his feet (and socks) have been 100% dry!”
Hi Michelle,
Thank you for the 5-star review! We're absolutely thrilled that we can help keep your son's feet dry during those rainy days outside. Can't wait to see what other adventures he'll take his Vessis on in the future :)
