“We just got a new puppy, so I bought my first pair of Vessi’s and love them. Then I got a pair of navy blue ones for my husband. He’s really impressed! They’re warm, waterproof and easy to wash. They also look great with jeans! We both use orthotic inserts and find them quite comfy for long walks!”
Hi Karl,
Thank you for your amazing support!
It’s normal for the ankle opening to be a little firm to start! Over the first few wears of your new shoes you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate and create the perfect shape around your feet. The reason you want this is to make sure no water comes in through the ankle. The only way to ensure this is if you allow the shoe to mold to your ankle shape. In order to do that, you do need them to be tight at first and then only stretch when they’ve learned your specific foot shape. This creates that snug, sock like fit that we are loved for!
Not to worry, after a few more wears the ankle opening will have loosened up to become the perfect fit for your feet. We recommend a shoehorn in the meantime!
“The shows are incredible durable, sleek, stylish and literally everyday shoes... i have been rocking them almost everyday and at the gym aswell, they are also amazing for going on a run. One of the things i hated with all my other shoes was that they got my socks wet which is not a pleasant experience, but with vessis i never have to worry about it. Ive recommend this shoe for all my friends since we live in raincouver which stands for vancouver lol and i know through the whole season my socks will never get wet!”
Hi Jap,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We're happy to hear your Vessis are keeping your feet dry in the Vancouver weather. Keep on puddle hunting. :)
“it has been about a week of using my new vessi shoes. i heard alot of good things about the shoes before buying and decided to order a pair.
they do not have half sizes so I ordered an 11, they are a bit tight compared to my 10.5 sized shoes, but that is not an issue. i di dnot realize they go on like a slipper, not a normal show.
the laces come undone easily and I have found myself walking with the laces flapping around. the laces are not really neccessary, as the shoes slip on, with some effort.
i noticed all the ads show people wearing the shoes with no socks, i prefer to wear socks, especially now that the colder weather is back. the socks make the shoes a bit tight and more effort to slip them on. not a big issues, but must note it here, I will be much more aware of this in the future if/when buying shoes online
have not tested the waterproof claims, but definitely will before the 90 days return policy expires.
so for, i feel this was a good purchase and am happy.”
Hi Bob,
Thank you for your feedback and we're glad that you are happy with your purchase!
You can try replacing your laces if it keeps coming untied or you can also use lace stoppers to keep them tied. You can wear Vessi with or without socks. We generally like no-show socks since you get the feel of them, but they're not visible. Socks also help with wicking moisture, which in turn helps extend the shelf life of your shoes.
Rest assured that we will take note of the concerns you listed to make sure we can incorporate them in our future designs.
