What size did you purchase?
I really like my pair, but I wish I had gotten half a size smaller. Otherwise I'm enjoying them so far.

These shoes fit great across the foot, comfy bottoms, but cut into the tendon at the front of one’s ankle...and I don’t even have thick ankles! I do have some neuropathy in Mt feet from chemo which makes me hesitant to wear these. By the way...you can not return them.

Hi Jane, It’s normal for the ankle opening to be a little firm to start! Over the first few wears of your new shoes you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate and create the perfect shape around your feet. The reason you want this is to make sure no water comes in through the ankle. The only way to ensure this is if you allow the shoe to mold to your ankle shape. In order to do that, you do need them to be tight at first and then only stretch when they’ve learned your specific foot shape. This creates that snug, sock like fit that we are loved for! If you had any other questions do not hesitate to reach out to us at support@vessi.com 😊

What size did you purchase?
So far they are living up to my expectations! My feet are dry after a long walk on the trails. No more wet footprints on the hardwood floors I am very satisfied with my purchase and I am happy that a portion of my purchase was donated to mental health programs.

What size did you purchase?
They fit true to size in length, but are nice and wide across the ball of the foot (I find Nike too narrow for my feet, but Asics are comfortable - for a reference on my fit. I have wide feet) So, these are great and super comfortable for my wide feet :) Love the sleek style

The option “payitforward” did not allow returns, which didn’t seem very clear when purchasing. Since I wasn’t able to return them I tried them out and couldn’t even last a 20 minute walk without pain. These are not comfy and I wish I was able to get my money back on them. They are waterproof shoes but I wouldn’t recommend as a walking shoe and especially not if you’re on your feet all day

Really wanted to love these shoes as a nurse, but the sock type ankles are way too tight and hurt my feet for 12 hour shifts. Major bummer.

Hi Jessica, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review and sharing your experience with us! We're so sorry to hear that you're having a negative experience with our shoes in terms of the ankle-opening. I would love to provide more insight on why that might be! Over the first few wears of your new shoes you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate to tailor to your foot shape. The reason you want this is to make sure no water comes in through the ankle, and the only way to ensure this is if you allow the shoe to mold to your ankle shape. In order to do that, you do need them to be tight at first and then only stretch when they’ve learned your specific foot shape. Not to worry, after a few more wears the ankle opening will have loosened up to become the perfect fit for your feet. Lots of customers use a shoehorn in the meantime, which should help. You can also speed up the stretching process by leaving a few pairs of thick socks balled up inside the shoes overnight. If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out!
