Hi Morgan,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us.
We’re sorry to hear you’re finding your Vessis too tight. For some reference, however, it’s actually quite normal for the ankle opening to be a little snug to start. Over the first few wears of your new shoes, you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate your foot shape. By starting tighter, this allows the shoe to mold to your ankle shape - making sure no water seeps in through the ankle opening.
Some customers use a shoehorn in the meantime, which should help. You can also speed up the stretching process by leaving a few pairs of thick socks balled up inside the shoes overnight.
That said, I'll be sure to pass your feedback along to our Product team, as we are always looking to improve. We'll use your insight towards our research and development for our future design improvements.
“I was really excited to get this shoe for my grandson. He lives in rainy Oregon. Unfortunately he couldn't get his foot into the opening of the shoe.”
“Love that my kids come home with dry feet. Would give 5 stars, except that they are really hard for my kids to get on, and they were very tight at first. We removed the insoles for now, and hope they will stretch out enough to put them back in.”
