“Love these for my travel shoes. It’s great for when it’s a rainy day they’re super comfortable as well. So nice to be water, proof, stylish, and comfortable.”
Hi Anna,
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with us.
I’m sorry to hear you’re finding your Vessis a little tight. For some reference, however, it’s actually quite normal for the ankle opening to be a little snug to start.
Over the first few wears of your new shoes, you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate your foot shape. By starting tighter, this allows the shoe to mold to your ankle shape - making sure no water seeps in through the ankle opening.
I totally understand your worry about the tightness, but I can assure you that the opening will start to loosen up within the next few wears.
Some customers use a shoehorn in the meantime, which should help. You can also speed up the stretching process by leaving a few pairs of thick socks balled up inside the shoes overnight.
“It's a really nice style, and very comfortable. It does take a couple weeks for the material to feel comfortable around the ankles, since it's a little stiff at first, but doesn't take too long to feel comfortable.”
