“The shoe is too wide for my feet, and it is not breathable so it is too hot. I’ve only worn it in my house so far, and if it is too hot on my feet indoors, I can only imagine outside in hot conditions.”

We’re sorry to hear your Vessis aren't as breathable as you'd expected. While normal shoes will always be more breathable than waterproof shoes, Vessis were designed to be a much more breathable alternative to other waterproof footwear like rubber boots.

“I’ve been looking for a pair of waterproof shoes. During a recent visit to Vancouver, a friend recommended Vessi and they recently open a retail store at Metrotown. I took sky train to Metrotown. I found the Vessi store with a short line of people waiting to enter the store. Once in the store I found the shoes to be unisex and only come in full size. I tried a few different styles and found one I like. I tried both size 7 and 8. Size 8 is too big and size 7 is snug. I decided to get the size 7 as it has a 90 day return policy. Since I’m leaving Vancouver in 4 days, I thought I can try it at home and if need be I can return it before I leave. After I tried at home for one day, I decided to wear it outside since it’s been raining almost everyday. Vessi sure live up to the ad: snug fit and will mold to your feet for comfort and waterproof. I love my new pair of Vessi for both comfort and waterproof. I came home to the US and started telling my family and friends about it. To my surprise some of them including my daughter in law, have heard of the brand. Now I know what I’ll get for my daughter in law for Christmas. I’m heading back to Vancouver in December and I can’t wait to wear it in the rain. While I know I can buy online I prefer to go to the store to try on. I’m just old fashion.”
“I bought these because they are waterproof but I haven't been able to test out that feature. What I can say is that they felt very comfortable immediately upon putting them on. This never happens. I usually wear a 7.5, but Vessi only does full sizes. The shoes are wide and I once was told that I wear bigger shoes because of my wide feet, so I choose 7 (I think vessi suggests that you size up). The shoe also has great arch support for my high arches. So I wore them to work and I still really liked them, but there was a weird sensation where with every step it felt like my heel was lifting out just bit. I still really liked them though. So I wore them to a fair and to two zoos (3 different days). Got arround 20,000 steps each day and these shoes were super comfortable all day. I still get that lifting sensation, but it is easy to ignore and doesnt cause chaffing or blisters, so these will be my go to travel walking shoes!”
