“I happened to see a pair of Weekends by Vessi outside my neighbor's door in my apartment building one slushy morning in Boston. I think she took them off outside so as not to track the snow and mud indoors. I'd never heard of the brand but I really liked the shape. I have a difficult-to-fit foot (wide) and I need some decent support. AllBirds never worked because they were too squishy. I was leaving for a 3 month trip to Greece and worried about not having the right shoes and took a chance ordering a pair last minute by rush. I am SO GLAD I DID! I've worn them everyday on my urban hikes and they've performed splendidly. They provide enough support, are super light weight and are actually somehow truly waterproof as I've stepped in puddles by accident. i tossed them in the washing machine in my Airbnb and they came out perfectly white again! Best of all is the excellent traction- everything you want to climb in Athens is made of marble and all the sidewalks are paved in grooved concrete.
