“the opening is really tight, I read you need to wear them to Strech them out but so far after wearing them twice they are still uncomfortable. I have such high hopes for these shoes but so far not happy with them.”
HI Meredith,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us.
We’re sorry to hear you’re finding your Vessis too tight. For some reference, however, it’s actually quite normal for the ankle opening to be a little snug to start. Over the first few wears of your new shoes, you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate your foot shape. By starting tighter, this allows the shoe to mold to your ankle shape - making sure no water seeps in through the ankle opening.
Some customers use a shoehorn in the meantime, which should help. You can also speed up the stretching process by leaving a few pairs of thick socks balled up inside the shoes overnight.
That said, if you continue to have problems with the fit with more wear, please feel free to reach out to us at support@vessi.com and we're happy to look into this further.
“These shoes are my new fave! So comfortable and light weight. They go with everything too. I've already shown so many friends because we live in the PNW and staying dry is a must!”
“Comfort meets style. For someone who has achy feet often, slipping on my new Vessis was a welcome relief as compared to how most other shoes fit and feel.”
“Very comfortable but they keep slipping off my heels. I normally wear an 8 1/2 but I read a lot of reviews and decided to size down to 8. They did feel tight around my toes but I expected that and know that overtime they’ll form to my feet. But I was disappointed that the shoes would slip off my heel every step I took. It didn’t seem to irritate my skin with socks on, so I might give it a try walking around outside and just have to put up with it. I also tried tightening the laces, and it helped a little bit. Otherwise, good comfortable inserts and lightweight! Style is cute too.”
