“They're great for standing in all day, great for walking around in, totally waterproof just like they claim. Definitely a bit pricey, but as someone who has a few pairs of Allbirds, I feel there's more shoe here despite the price. Now let's see some more colors!”

“The Men's Weekend shoes are very comfortable and lightweight. I was surprised at how soft the upper portion of the shoe fits, and as someone who usually looks for a wide-fit, I really appreciated that fact. These are going to become my default traveling shoes from now on (they also slip on and off easily for when you're going through airport security). If there was one minor thing I wish this product had, it would probably be half-sizes.”

“I have a thick, wide food. For years, I’ve worn a EE or EEE width in a shoe. These are a bit on the narrow side for my foot, but not too uncomfortable. I do have issues with it cutting into the top of my foot. Not both feet, just one. I removed the sock liners and that helped some, but it still cuts in.
Hopefully they will loosen after a few more wearings.”

“These shoes are great! Support is just okay, but I can add other insoles to improve it. My daily drivers had been a pair of Adidas Nizza's. The Vessi Weekend's are much lighter! This is great shoe! I plan to use it for hiking, but the brown looks classy and I feel I can use these to style less rugged looks.
I've already poured two glasses of water on to my shoe. Watching the water bead up and run off is just joyful. I hope to make Vessi's my daily drivers for every day I find myself in the rain.
I've only worn them a short time, but I think my feet are able to breathe. They certainly didn't feel like they were in a latex or rubber wrapper. The soles are reasonably flexible.
My only design concern is that, while the sizing is true to size, the shoe feels a little low in the toe area. By which I mean, the width and length of the foot print is fine, but the height is a little shorter than the height of my big toe. The result is constant pressure on my big toe nail. (I trimmed my nail to insure this experience wasn't due to poor grooming.) This is a concern for me because I've had other shoes, (an over-sized pair of Saucony's I used to own) fail at precisely this point from the added friction over the toenail against the top of the shoe.
For me, I raise my toes when I lift my foot to take a step, so the fabric at this location will see a lot of wear. However, even with my foot sitting flat on the floor, my toe outline is visible. The fabric will be in constant tension. I would like to see either the walls of the shoe get taller to eliminate this constant tension, or a re-enforcement of some be placed on outside or inside of the shoe to protect against this stress concentration.
Still, this issue is not enough to outweigh what is otherwise a fantastic shoe. I'm excited to see this company continue to improve it's product line. In the meantime, for what they bring to the table, the Vessi Weekend's are an excellent shoe. I highly recommend it.
I sincerely hope Vessi will venture into backpacks (perhaps look at the Brevite Jumper for inspiration..?) and jackets. This material is almost hard to wrap one's head around.”
