This is gonna be long, but I wanna make sure to get across why I love Vessis. I do a lot of hiking and walking, and most of it is through mud or along water. I bought my first pair of vessis years ago when only the Cityscapes existed and immediately fell in love. The Everydays improved the treads, so I bought those on a sale and liked them even more. When I ended up needing new work shoes, I got another pair - and then put over a million steps on them (a low-ball estimate from my activity data). Some rips had started at the heels, ruining the waterproofing, and I’d worn holes through the insoles by then. It was still within the one year period so I figured I’d contact the warranty centre, but I wasn’t expecting anything after putting the shoes through so much (I used to walk through Nike shoes even quicker so I don’t consider this a huge fault of the shoe). They were really helpful and even let me pay the difference to upgrade from the Everyday to the Weekend, which I’d been eyeballing since release. I’m usually pretty cynical when it comes to companies claiming to care about anything but profits, but Vessi clearly does care about their customers and the environment and that’s a huge mark in their favour to me. When it comes to the shoes themselves, you can’t really go wrong with Vessi. I’ve loved all three varieties, but the better treads and better looks of this one make it my favourite. It’s a little heavier than the other two types, and not at all the same feel - I initially thought the size might be too big, with the way the heel felt loose, but I got used to it quickly and the shoe was never in danger of coming off. I’ll try to rank the shoes by features for anyone trying to decide: Treads: I haven’t had the Weekends long enough to test the treads the same way I have for the other two, but so far they’ve been the best. To be fair though, the Everydays are good enough that the only places I noticed them sliding were on particularly mossy river rocks, deep enough inside caves that everything’s wet, steep muddy/frozen slopes, or on flat ice (in other words, not standard use cases). Cityscapes aren’t bad but you’ll definitely have to watch your footing sometimes. Comfort: I’d say the Everyday is most comfortable, but they’re all really good here. The Weekends have better arch support, so I’d call this one a tie between those two. Weight: the Cityscapes are the lightest - they feel crazy light. The Everydays are pretty close, and the Weekends are noticeably heavier than both, although they’re still lighter than most regular shoes. Looks: if you’re judging looks you don’t need anyone else’s opinion, but personally I like the Weekends the best. Overall, leaving subjective looks out of it, I’d say the Weekends are my favourite for the treads and support, but if you don’t wear them a ton or go off the beaten path too much I’d probably recommend the Everydays for the cozy feel and lower price. The Cityscapes are still great shoes but unless weight is your only concern I think the Everydays are a better buy.
