Patented Multi-Stage Filtration Process
How does it work?
The Aquasana Rhino Whole House Water Filter uses 4 stages of filtration through various materials to provide both pure water and for it to run a optimum performance.
Stage 1: The sediment pre-filter uses a replaceable cartridge to filter down to 5 microns, filtering out sediment to ensure this doesn't clog the main filter and slow down water flow or decrease filter life.
Stage 2: A combination of zinc and copper fuses together to form redox potential through water atomization. This active filtration method alters the molecular structure of chlorine and turns it into harmless zinc chloride.
Stage 3: Contains large granule bituminous activated carbon, recognised by the U.S E.P.A as the "best available technology for water filtration". Activated carbon reduces herbicides and pesticides which are found in the water supply.
Stage 4: Small granule coconut shell based activated carbon provides a larger surface area and highest reaction kinetics and absorptive capacity.

Installation & Maintenance
Virtually maintenance-free for 3 years
The Aquasana Whole House Filter is designed to be both straight forward to install but also easy to maintain. It is recommended that the Rhino is installed by a licensed plumber and generally installation takes around 2 hours. The Aquasana Rhino comes with the Installation Kit as well as 3 months worth of replacement pre-filter cartridges. The pre-filter only require changing once every 3 months and can be done by anyone in a couple of minutes. The main filter of the Rhino has a capacity of 1,200,000 litres, around 3 years for an average Australian household. At which point only the main filter section needs replacement.
