Thanks for the feedback Hal. Volt was designed to provide matte finish. If you desire to add more shine to it other products can be used over Volt. However, please do so with caution and test the products prior to complete application to make sure the products are not interfering with each other.

This is correct, Volt is not a dye. Dyes stain and penetrate your hair. Volt, on the other hand, is a color that sticks to the outside of your hair. Thus it adds volume to the hair and it may feel different. The feel is similar to beard balms or pomades. The more you wear it, the more you get used to it. The good news is that Volt looks very natural, it's easy to touch up, it applies fast and you do not have to worry about any allergic reactions.
