I do like the short and they can be worn commando, which I like a lot, but they are not very functional for swimming.
Yes, you COULD swim in them, but the back pocket has no zipper or flap to keep it closed which creates a lot of drag.
I wore these surfing and wish I hadn't. The drag from the back pocket made me think they were going to come off repeatedly. When I looked back at the product description for these I realized they never said they were for swimming (it was a review or two I read that said this).
I started using them for what I change in too after and love em for that.”
