I purchased my Remington Murphy bed about 1 year ago, and it has been a great piece of furniture. After many (many!) years in shared undergraduate/grad student/post-doctoral housing, I finally was able to move into a more spacious 2-bedroom apartment. I was looking for a way to make the most of the second bedroom, which I wanted to use as a guest room / music room / office / exercise space. That was a tall order to fit in one room, but with this bed, I was able to make it happen.
I spent a while debating if a Wilding Wallbed was the way to go. Their products are stunning, but the price is also steeper than what you find from wholesale vendors. I read many reviews on competing products that were between 40-70% of the price of Wilding, but the take-home message was that many purchasers of cheaper products (*note: cheaper does not mean cheap) regretted not spending more for a product that would last. I decided to go for it.
The Wilding customer service was fantastic. They made ordering a breeze. No complaints there. They are super-friendly and knowledgeable.
The product did take quite some time for construction and shipping, but it was within the time frame that I was quoted.
One thing I will say is that assembly is rough. The video guides that Wilding provides are a LIFESAVER, but there are many, many pieces to assemble and there are probably a couple of hundred screws that need installed (several of which needed pilot holes drilled, if I remember correctly). I can't exactly remember how long it took me to assemble, but I'd guess it was about 20 hours. I did the assembly by myself, am relatively fit, and reasonably handy (I am not a handyman by trade, and I am sure many hobbyists are quicker than I am, but I am not scared of drills and hammers). It would have been a amazing if Wilding had pre-assembled the door/bed platform. Since I bought a mattress from Wilding as well, the bed platform could have been pre-assembled and packed with the mattress. I would have been a heavy box, but probably would have saved 5 hours of assembly time as the platform needed around 100 screws to install.
After all the assembly, though, I have to say it is a great piece of furniture. I have had about a dozen guests sleep on it and everyone loved it. It is a handsome piece when it is in "cabinet" format and it has allowed tremendous versatility in how I use my second bedroom. I have no regrets about my purchase and have recommended Wilding to friends several times.
One final thought is that I would give careful consideration as to if you really NEED side cabinets or not. I was debating about those since it may be hard to get matching cabinetry down the road should Wilding change their styles. I ultimately did not get cabinets due to price, but am very glad I did not. The bed itself is a very large piece of furniture and having the cabinets would have been overwhelming in my space. I am sure different customers have different plans for their wallbeds, but if you considering a wallbed because you live in a smaller space, I'd recommend against the cabinets. If, however, you are well-off and live in a 4 bedroom home (or larger), you probably have large enough rooms to accommodate the cabinetry. That said, if you have so many rooms, it is also less likely that you need to be so efficient with space that the cabinets will make a difference your storage capabilities. It's your decision and I am sure the cabinets are beautiful, just reflect on if you really need them or not.
Overall, a fantastic piece from a great company. It is a bit pricey, but worth every penny.”

“Start to finish the purchase and assembly of the Remington Studio bed was a good experience. All questions I had before and after ordering were addressed promptly. Two 77 year old ladies assembled the bed (myself and best friend) which shows that the videos and instructions are good. We watched the videos more than once to make sure we understood what to do. The only thing we needed help with was lifting the bed on to the springs. It was too heavy for us to lift. One flaw was the video about the studio desk assembly. It needs some work. We had to study all the pieces and figure out how to assemble them ourselves. Fortunately that wasn't too difficult, we only made one mistake that needed correcting. The bed works perfectly and I absolutely love having that extra bedroom as an office.”
