“This is ingenious and works well as a helmet. The mechanism is simple, secure and doesn't, I think, add too much weight.
It's worth getting if use a folding bike and use mixed mode transport or even if you are using hire bikes.
Sizing
My head is on the larger side so I only just fit - it would be good to have a size larger available.
As you'd expect there is a bit less of a drop at the back than a conventional helmet which may or may not affect protection. Clearly being certified means it meets regulatory requirements.
It is quite a bit heavier than I'd expected. That could be reduced without hurting functionality or practicality. There is (too much?) protective shell eg over the top half which I guess helps to protect the EPS inner. Likewise the bottom section - it looks to have been designed to allow more vents/cutouts but this has not made it through to the current version.
That would also reduce weight and improve ventilation.
The other thing is I usually use a head torch - I've been able to fit the mount without noticeably affecting the folded dimensions”
