Chocolat Bonnat Morenita Mexico 65% Milk Chocolate Bar Reviews

4.3 Rating 3 Reviews
I have enjoyed all of the Bonnat chocolates that I've tried. For being a dark milk chocolate, Morenita has a mild flavor with slight notes of floral and mild cocoa. For more complex flavored bars I prefer Valrhona or Michel Cluizel. I love the selection of chocolate makers that World Wide Chocolate offers.

Chocolat Bonnat makes my favorite milk chocolates for eating plain right now (they are a bit pricey for baking with). Each single origin is distinctive--this has the fruity undertones of Latin American chocolates. The high cacao percentage means it has intense chocolate flavor, but the dairy means it is silky and has great mouthfeel.

They do however add a distinctive flare and flavor profile when used in baking:-) Create with passion! WWC

If you love an intense chocolate experience this will not delight you; however, if you want an uber-creamy, gently chocolate dark milk this will bring you joy. I found it too bland. If you're beginning to journey into the darker cacao solids range and want something easy to start with I would definitely recommend this bar. Fruition makes a dark milk in the high 60% range that's superb if you already love dark milk bars.
