“For years, I have conducted a search for high quality butterscotch chips for my Oatmeal Scotchies - - a family favorite. In this area, only one brand is offered, and they have a bland, chalky taste. The Guittard brand has much more flavor and a creamy texture. The cost does strain this “senior” lady’s budget, but I buy them for holiday baking and parties. The cookies always get rave reviews”
“Sorry to say but tasted and baked these against the Hershey brand and the Hershey butterscotch had a lot more flavor and seemed to melt abit more when baked. Usually Guittard is better but in this case the much cheaper Hershey’s was just better.”
