“Guittard directed me to this storefront because their minimum order for bulk was 500 pounds. The markup for taking 10% of a case of their bulk product is *insane.* If you have the freezer space, get the 25# box and store them--or go in on this size with your friends and neighbors. The chocolate itself is amazing.”
Hi Julie,
As a large distributor of premium products, we sell both direct to consumer "retail" and we also serve business to business and wholesale buyers. However, The professional grade products we offer are only sold in bulk sizes. In order to offer these same items that are typically unavailable to home bakers, we have to "repackage" them, which involves significant labor and material costs. You are correct in that larger quantities in their original packaging is a more cost effective method in which to buy. Additionally, we suggest businesses, join our B2B/Wholesale program to secure volume savings, and we offer a loyalty program and various discount offers for our retail buyers. But we, as well as our many long term customers, know our retail prices to be very competitive and proper for the quality of the items we sell. We appreciate your business and wanted to respond to your comment to offer context.
Respectfully,
WWC
