“First, let me preface by stating that my prior dark chocolate nonpareils experience really consisted of eating Snow Caps at the movies. That said, both of these manufacturers are far superior. Both had better tasting chocolates with great mouth feel as they melted. The candied nonpareils on both are great tasting and give a great contrast to the creamy, slightly bitter dark chocolates.
My favorite of the two was the Lake Champlain for the following reasons. The Lake Champlain chocolate was not as sweet as the Guittard which contrasted better with the nonpareils. This gave the Lake Champlain chocolate pieces (which were smaller than the Guittard) a better ratio of chocolate to nonpareils. These differences slight but allowed the Lake Champlain dark chocolate nonpareils to beat out the Guittard.”
“Although the quality of these nonpareils was excellent, They're very small, not snow-capped small.. yet about the size of a nickle. The amount you get for the price is also small size candy for larger price.
I personally wouldn't purchase these again. Because of these two factors.
OWC had been sold out of my usual G. Nonpareils which are heavenly.
These Lake Champlain were a fine substitute in a pinch, but plan on paying a much higher price for a much smaller amount..”
