MIA Madagascar Pure 75% Dark Chocolate Bar Reviews

4.3 Rating 8 Reviews
The flavor and texture of this bar are perfection. Smooth and creamy with just a hint of vanilla. One of the best dark chocolate bars I have had, and I love that it is made in Africa.

This MIA 75% Madagascar chocolate bar is great! It is extremely smooth, with a nice creamy melt and excellent chocolate flavor - almost buttery. It compares very well with the best of other brands. Highly recommended.

MIA chocolate has a very bitter finish. I don't care for it. The rage seems to be single origin chocolate, but it just highlights any flaws the beans may have. I have had single origin Venezuelan chocolate that I really liked, but, particularly with African chocolate, single origin often lacks the smoothness and consistency of blends. I compare everything with Valrhona Araguani and Guanaja, both of which I consider to be just about perfect.

I discovered MIA Pure 75% Dark at a nearby store and tried it. I eat dark chocolate, 72% or greater, on a daily basis and have done so for years, tried all kinds of brands from all over the world, and this MIA chocolate has become my new favorite. It has just the right balance of sweetness with a touch of tartness and is creamy and smooth with a very pleasurable after-taste. Just the best!

The 75% has layers of flavour with the typical red fruit notes of Madagascar and a touch of woodiness. No bitterness.

It’s not the creamiest bar. I won’t buy again.
