Xpanda 600 is manufactured using an open cell polyurethane foam heavily impregnated with acrylics creating flame retardant properties. Fire rated to B1 classification.
Under high compression the product will create a weather-proof seal, under low compression, the product is suitable for draught sealing. Xpanda 600 maintains a permanent elasticity, allowing it to continuously self-adjust post-installation to effectively seal gaps. This is an excellent alternative to polyurethane aerosol foam due to easy, clean installation and value for money. It's ideal for professional and DIY use for installation of windows and door frames, as well as joining structural components in residential and commercial properties.
Xpanda 600 is recommended for use in more extreme weather applications (tested to DIN52453 Watertight Against Driving Rain) and is fully resistant to UV. The measured performance of Xpanda 600 is rated at 600 Pascals, or driving rain, at 25% decompression. It allows for sufficient ventilation, preventing mould buildup. It ages well and won't crack or split over time, making it ideal for the UK seasonal climate where joints expand and contract throughout the year.
The product is supplied in rolls of various sizes and are supplied pre-compressed to approximately 85%.
