“I love the antimicrobial antifungal properties of my Akeso socks. They perform as advertised. However they cover my feet in a ridiculous amount of lint with each wearing, pill wherever footwear rubs against them and attract every scrap of cat hair in my house, which become embedded into the fabric.Very unappealing. Perhaps if kept only for use on hikes and such they would be ok, but for every day use and use in work boots, there's a lot of downside. My feet and the socks never stink though, so I keep using them for work.”
Hi Nathan,Thank you for leaving this fair and valuable feedback. Unfortunately due to the fibre, we are finding it difficult to come up with a version that has all the properties that are important (Odour-free, antimicrobial, anti-fungal etc) and doesn't collect lint of the floor. As you've found, I tend not to wear my Akeso's around the house without slides, or just take them off. A pill brush helps to pull most of the lint off also.However, in saying this, we won't stop developing this fibre to create better versions of it in the future.- The Akeso Team
“The socks feel and perform better than other moisture-wicking athletic socks I've tried. They dry very quickly if you get them wet from the rain, or through exercise. They do smell a little if you do a sniff test right after you take them off -- as you'd expect -- but the smell disappears shortly after once the socks have dried. I suggest rotating between 2-3 pairs if you wear these everyday, to give them a chance to breathe, otherwise you will run them down and wear them out pretty quickly.”
“Awesome for the office in summer. And a lifesaver on week long hikes. Keeps your socks, feet & boots halfway to livable (Rather than mildly toxic). A week of tough hiking with two pairs, alternating days, and I couldn't smell them at the end of the hike (and I checked, before having a shower).”
“I had the Akeso socks over 2 months now and what can I say?It is an awesome product, when you wear the akeso socks the whole day and take them off when you get home after work (eg 8,12 hr shift), it does not smell at all.Let them air dry over night until the next morning ,wear them again and the sock smells like new.I havent wash them over 2 months.I worn them everyday , I get no skin irritations on my feet, no itchy and scratching and no bad smell from my feet after wear them.If you working and get chemicals on your boots contacting the akeso sock, then do wash them.But generally you dont need to wash it when you do outdoor activities ,good for camp especially sharing a tent with your partner and friends ,when you hate taking off your smell boots , but now the akeso sock is real game changer for hygiene,especially the feet.The akeso sock kills the smell and bacteria and absorbs the sweat from your feet.Hands down for me , Im very happy with the akeso socks,I recommend it,Cheers”
