“I bought this machine for personal use. My family goes to a lot of sporting events and loves to wear buttons, I figured I could invest in a machine and make my own! I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how easy the whole process is. Button machine is compact, and does not take a lot of force to operate. There was a short learning curve when it came to placing the backing piece into its slot at the correct angle. When the mechanism picks up the top part of the button and you slide the back under to be pressed, the top rotates slightly. Not necessarily a negative, once I figured out an angle that worked for me a made a mark on the machine and all of my backs have come out straight since.”

“Product description is misleading. It doesn't make 2.25" buttons. They are smaller and not compatible with the 2.25" buttons our old machine makes. All of our old supplies and die cut machine are for 2.25" buttons and they won't work in this machine. Machine works great with the different size button samples they sent, but don't expect it to make 2.25" buttons.”

Bill, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We completely understand your frustration—this compatibility issue is incredibly common in the button-making community! Our parts are compatible only with machines that are US-manufactured and adhere to the US standard sizing. Unfortunately, many imported machines listed as "2.25 inches" are actually a metric 25 mm size. That minute difference is enough to keep the parts from working correctly. “If you’re attempting to produce buttons in any capacity, it would be a foolish to purchase a machine from anywhere else. American Button Machines are designed and crafted with intentionality and care. Any other product is subpar to AMB’s craftsmanship. Do yourself a favor and make the purchase. You won’t regret it.”

“Works Great!! Amazing Product and Excellent Machine as all pins come out 100% intact. No waste or half made pins! I Highly Recommend saving up $ and make the investment in American Button Machine products. You will never regret it and have a sturdy machine for life. ...Unlike my terrible experience with those cheap (Hapizza?) plastic button machines sold on Amazon each with their own issues that all broke on me (I went through three of them and they all failed, then found out the hard way that all pins came out defective from those cheap machines and come apart negatively impacting my business!) If you're planning on selling buttons or just want a guaranteed high quality machine then seriously save up for an ABM machine from this site. My customers the way these pins are sturdy and very durable and I'm super satisfied with a machine that works 100% great! Thank you ABM!”
