“I decided to go with a set of Apeks for 2 reasons, recommendation, and the service interval, and I'm not disappointed. I had a set of oceanics, which were pretty good, but even after servicing I was having free flow issues with both second stages, and the demand knob and Venturi lever were fiddly with gloves, the Apeks are fare more glove friendly, feel very solid and breathe like a dream, I've only done a couple of dives on them but I'm extremely pleased. The only minor gripe is that I have a 48 inch chest and the octo hose is about 8" short to make sharing a bit less "in your face" but that's just me being anti social!”
