“The device is compact and seems to work well, providing accurate results when following the directions for use, including time to wait after consuming alcohol or other beverages before device use. However, the app leaves some features to be desired. The app displays the users BAC. But then it offers a zeroline estimate that takes very little into account. The app should, at a minimum, have the ability to record the device user's height and body weight to provide a customized more accurate zeroline estimate. Additionally, the ability to input food consumed (or lack thereof) within a recent time period would further help to make the zeroline estimate more accurate. Then there is the fact that the user is forced to do math from that point. Only the zeroline estimate is currently offered. If you want to know when your BAC will drop below a certain level, whether that be 0.1, 0.8, 0.5, 0.2, etc., you will currently have to do math (If your zeroline is 6 hours from now, maybe your BAC will be 50% of the current number in 3 hours...). The app could definitely be more accurate and more useful.”
“Bought two BACtrack mobiles. One for my 21-year-old son, since he's an amature with drinking. I want him to be safe while learning to drink responsibly. The other for my 36-year-old daughter who is an alcoholic, trying to quit. The BACtrack keeps her accountable and has helped her to stay motivated not drink. Both appear to work as indicated and easy to use. Keeps a log on smart device. Numbers cannot be erased, therefore, can't be hidden when needing to be tracked. So far no complaints from either of them.”
“I use this to prove maintaining sobriety in a custody/child placement case. I’ve used it for 23 days. I record data for use 3 to 4 times every day. 7 times that I’ve blown into it, it has recorded alcohol from 0.008 to 0.012 even tho I was absolutely sober. One time it registered 0.009 then 0.011 and then 0.000. All in 3 consecutive tests in 2 minutes. Time stamps for proof. It works very well but there is a flaw to be aware of and good to know in the accuracy of the BACtrack.”
“A little smaller than a disposible vape. It was very easy to download the app and sync the device to it. It is very quick to use; open the app, turn on the device, and blow. It logs your location, a short video of the use for verification, and the results.”
“This has happened to me twice: once on my original purpchase and then on the new one I had to buy. Both worked for about the first 10-20 tests, and then it was impossible to blow into it in the way the unit wanted. It kept telling me the test was incomplete and I had to retest, even though I had, according to the dial, expelled enough breath. I try a dozen or so times, but nothing changes. I am most unhappy with this purchase.”
